Stomach & Bowels III is a moderate formula used as a bowel regenerator, not a laxative. The goal is to keep herbs working in the gastro-intestinal tract, cleaning and rebuilding.

The goal is not to have loose stools, but nice soft stools. If diarrhea occurs, cut back on the amount of capsules that you are taking. Bowels work on 12 hour cycles. So you want AM and PM first, then lunchtime. Take as many as you need to move your bowels (do not exceed 10 at a time).

Use this moderate formula generally if the individual only "stools" every other day.

Cascara Sagrada Bark (Rhamnus purshiana) - Intestinal bacteria convert this herb into substances that in¬crease peristalsis in the large intestine and help restore intestinal tone. It is widely accepted as a mild and effective treatment for chronic constipation.

Cape Aloe (Aloe ferox) – Aloe has been used for a wide range of ailments due to its high concentration of nutrients. In addition to supporting digestive health, Aloe maintains overall good health and provides a sense of well-being and energy.

Slippery Elm Bark (Ulmus fulva) - Slippery elm is used to relieve gastrointestinal conditions and ulcers.

Gentian Root (Gentiana lutea) – This root has a long history in the treatment of digestive disorders. It strengthens the liver, gall bladder and digestive system.

Wild Yam Root (Dioscorea spp.) – This herb has been used for its antispasmodic properties for relieving spasms in the intestines.

Plantain Leaf (Plantago spp.) – This herb has been used for its anti-inflammatory properties and it’s overall healing properties. It has been used for centuries as an overall “First Aid” remedy.

Fennel Seed (Foeniculum vulgare) – Fennel seed is anti-spasmodic, can aid in digestion and helps to relieve gas & bloating.

Ginger Root (Zingiber officinale) – Ginger root can be used to alleviate gas, bloating and other digestive discomfort. It has anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal properties and has even been long used to help with rheumatoid arthritis pain.

Many people use this formula in combination with Windhawk’s Enzyme Probiotic Formula.
