1. What is the suggested dosage for Glucosamine Chondroitin?

According to Dr. Scott J. Zashin (clinical assistant professor at University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, Division of Rheumatology, in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Zashin is also an attending physician at Presbyterian Hospitals of Dallas and Plano), “the typical initial dose is 1500 mg of glucosamine and 1200 mg of chondroitin daily for 1- 2 months.  If a response is obtained, the dose can be reduced to 1000 mg of glucosamine and 800 mg of chondroitin or less.”   Therefore, for the first 1-2 months, it is recommended to take 2 capsules twice a day and then decrease to 1 capsule twice a day.  Please consult your doctor before beginning any new lifestyle or supplement regime.
